Hosokawa Micron Limited Advances Sustainability Initiatives

Key Developments in Solar Energy and Eco-Friendly Products

At Hosokawa Micron Limited, our strategic focus on reducing environmental impact, sustainability, and continuous improvement drives our commitment to growth and a sustainable future. We are excited to share two significant developments in our sustainability journey:

Installation of Solar PV Panels: Achieving Our Sustainability Goals

In line with the Hosokawa Micron Group’s Environmental and Sustainability Charter, Hosokawa Micron Limited has successfully installed solar PV panels on our site’s roof, executed by One Energy Projects. This initiative marks a substantial step towards reducing our energy consumption and carbon footprint.

Key specifications of the solar panel system include:

  • Projected PV Generator Output: 433.92 kWp
  • PV Generator Surface: 1,950m²
  • Number of PV Modules: 904
  • Estimated CO₂ Emissions Reduction: 72,792 kg/year

Environmentally Friendly Products

Our commitment to environmental practices extends to the systems we design, engineer, and manufacture at our UK headquarters in Runcorn, Cheshire. A prime example is our downflow booths, which can operate in energy conservation mode, reducing energy consumption by up to 40%. Additionally, these booths are equipped with motion sensors and LED lighting as standard features. These innovations have been integral to our system design for over a decade, ensuring our products consistently contribute to a greener and more sustainable future.
